-The printing text can appear too faded if the toner cartridge is nearing to finish, the EconoMode feature is on, or the print density is set on low mode. If first is the case, remove the toner cartridge and shake it well so that the toner is evenly redistributed. This will restore the proper printing temporarily until the cartridge is replaced. To disable EconoMode, go to 'Control Panel'> 123.hp.com select 'Printer & faxes'> right click on the HP printer icon and click on 'Properties' from the list. Click on the 'Printing Preferences' button and then click on the 'Finishing' button.
