Offline Printer - Power off the computer and printer and disconnect their power cords from the power outlet. Also unplug the printer from the computer. Now, plug back the power cable back into the computer and power it on. Also connect the printer back to the power cable but don't turn it on. Connect the printer back to the computer and then power it on. The computer will detect the printer and it will be ready to use. If this doesn't work, go to the 'Start' menu> go to 'Control Panel'> select 'Printer & faxes'. From the list 123.hp.com , right click on whichever printer you have and then click on 'Use Printer Online'. This will resolve the problem. If this fails too, then unplug the USB that connects printer to the computer, go to the 'Start' menu> and go to 'Run'. When the window comes up, type 'services.msc' (without quotes) in the box and click on 'OK'.
